  2. The phelps brothers were mighty prolific in the 1950s.
    still based in virginia and running a slew of record labels which released some absolutely fantastic [and very sought after] rockabilly records.
    gene criss and phil gray on rhythm , and the trailblazers on watson , to mention a few.
    a very talented group of brothers who first recorded circa 1936 and in 1955 even had both cliff gallup and dickie harrell from gene vincents bluecaps in their band [ and down on record too ].
    All norfolk , virginia musicians you see.
