Jimmie Carroll's career goes way back into the middle '30s, when he joined Buster & Bob Fite in the Saddle Tramps. He sang and played mandolin in the group, appeared on their 1937 Vocalion session and in at least one or two movies. He followed the Fites to Phoenix and, apparently, stayed in that area for the rest of his life.
I have seen this listed as a 45rpm issue.

ReplyDeleteI really liked this record. Jimmie has such an easy going laid-back voice. I loved the
ReplyDeletesteel especially on the "Yesterday" side.
