    Hello - I find it odd that the track 'Everybody's Trying To Be My Baby' (done here in a Hank Williams style) is similar to the Carl Perkins track of the same name. If the date of circa 1951 is correct about this song, it would pre-date Carl's version. It makes me curious as to who is copying whom in this case. Any more clues you can share? Thanks, Timmy

    "Everybody's Trying To Be My Baby" is an old song, it was written in the mid 1930's by Rex Griffin, who recorded the song for DECCA. Carl Perkins re-wrote most of the song, but retained bits of the original.
