MAJESTIC RECORDS

The MAJESTIC Radio & Television Corporation started life in St. Charles, Illinois, in 1945. A year later the company had moved to New York, and remained there until 1949 when MERCURY purchased the labels catalogue. To all intent purposes the label then ceased to function, however, a year or so later The MAJESTIC label resurfaced, still a part of The MAJESTIC Radio & Television Corporation, but now located at 2559 W. Pico. Hollywood. California. Very few releases on this reactivated label have to date been documented, despite there being somewhere in excess of fifty releases.
