Although master number seem to predate the earliest material released on TALENT, I suspect that the STAR TALENT 600 Series was actually inaugurated much later than it would appear, certainly at least not until after the label had changed its name from TALENT to STAR TALENT.

  1. I noticed that throughout the 9 parts you misspelled Palomino as Palamino. Check this web link for label scans.

Also, is that Talent 1000 you had earlier related?

  2. Thank you Steve, checked the listing against the actuall records. STAR TALENT 760 is, as you point out, PALOMINO COWHANDS, however, STAR TALENT 764, the band is PALAMINO COWHANDS, and 773 the backing band is credited as PALAMINO COWBOYS.

I don't think that the other TALENT label is connected, although I could be wrong!

  3. According to Dale Berry, #600 was the final release on Star Talent. I have no way of confirming that, but it is a flexible vinyl pressing, so it must be later than most of them.
